BBC Forced To Disclose Top-Earning Stars' Salaries
The U.K.'s BBC, which is publicly funded, was forced by the government to publish the names and salaries of its highest-earning talents Wednesday, sparking a national debate about the use of taxpayers' money. The list shows that the BBC pays 96 on-air personalities at least 150,000 pounds -- more than Britain's prime minister. Taxpayers who own a TV or watch the channel online pay 147 pounds per year for the BBC.
