Brexit campaigner Boris Johnson to stand as next UK Conservative leader

Boris Johnson, Britain's former foreign minister and a prominent campaigner to leave the European Union, said on Thursday he will be standing as a candidate to replace Prime Minister Theresa May as Conservative leader, the BBC reported.

Boris Johnson Will Run For UK Conservative Party Leadership
According to CNN, Boris Johnson, the former UK Foreign Secretary and an ardent critic of Theresa May's Brexit strategy, has confirmed he will run for leadership of the Conservative Party when the beleaguered Prime Minister announces her departure. May has said she will stand aside once Brexit has been delivered, but her Withdrawal Agreement with the European Union has been soundly rejected three times by Parliament.
