Alibaba files to list in Hong Kong as soon as third quarter: source

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd has filed confidentially for a Hong Kong listing that will take place as soon as the third quarter of this year, a person with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

Alibaba Has Reportedly Filed Confidentially For A Hong Kong Listing
Alibaba, Amazon's largest competitor in China, has reportedly filed confidentially to list on the Hong Kong stock exchange. The listing could reportedly raise as much as $20 billion, but the official amount hasn't been determined yet. Alibaba's listing on the New York Stock Exchange in September 2014 raised a staggering $21.7 billion and still holds the lofty designation of the largest offering in US history.
