Disney+ Warns of Content With 'Outdated Cultural Depictions'. Disney+ launched Tuesday, opening their vault of legendary films, not all of which hold up today. The company created a disclaimer that reads, β€œThis program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions.”. Films such as β€˜Dumbo,’ β€˜Peter Pan,’ β€˜The Jungle Book’ and a number of Mickey Mouse shorts contain the message. The animated 'Dumbo' film is one example for the necessity of the warning, with culturally-insensitive characters like Jim Crow. Though not all of the content contains offensive material, Disney was sure to slap the warning on several titles as a precaution
