Zion Williamson Out 6-8 Weeks After Knee Surgery . Williamson had surgery for a torn meniscus in his right knee on Monday. . Williamson will miss at least the first 20 games of the regular season. . New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry thought Williamson injured his knee on Oct. 13 against the San Antonio Spurs. . Williamson did not travel with the team for the Pelicans' final preseason game against the New York Knicks. . Williamson averaged 23.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and shot 71.4% in four preseason games. . The former Duke forward was drafted by the Pelicans with the No. 1 overall pick in June's NBA Draft. . We have a deep team. We'll hold it down as best we can without him.
