U.S. Trade Gap Hits 10-Year High In October As Soybean Exports Continue To Fall
According to a report by Reuters, the US trade deficit leapt to a 10 year-high in October as soybean exports continued to fall and imports of consumer goods reached a record high. On Thursday, the Commerce Department said that the trade deficit increased 1.7 percent to 55.5 billion, the highest level since October of 2008. Reuters reports that the trade gap has now widened for five consecutive months.
