UK Parliament Votes Down Yvette Cooper's Brexit Amendment

According to Reuters, British lawmakers voted against a bid to prevent a disorderly no-deal Brexit from the EU.

Amendment B to Prime Minster Theresa May's Brexit deal sought to wrestle control from the government over negotiations with the EU if the prime minister failed to secure additional concessions from Brussels.

It sought to provide parliament with the authority to legislate a delay for the EU's Article 50, which limits withdrawal notice to a 2-year timetable for negotiations.
