Seven Lawmakers Split From UK Labour Party

Seven lawmakers left Britain’s Labour Party on Monday, citing the party leadership’s failures over Brexit and instances of anti-Semitism as causes.

Reuters reports the group of lawmakers, calling themselves “The Independent Group”, includes Chuka Umunna, who had previously been seen as a potential candidate for party leadership, and Luciana Berger, who has been outspoken about the party’s approach to anti-Semitism.
