UK Proposes Extended EU's Article 50 Withdrawal Period

According to Reuters, the UK's government will seek to delay their scheduled departure from the EU.

After a second meaningful vote rejected Prime Minister Theresa May's withdrawal agreement, the British parliament will propose to extend the EU's Article 50 terms. Under EU law, a country invoking Article 50 to leave the bloc of nations has two years to negotiate a scheduled exit after issuing a withdrawal notice.
