New Michael Jackson exhibition opens in Germany, amid widespread allegations of abuse

A new exhibition on Michael Jackson has opened in Germany despite widespread debate over his legacy and allegations of child abuse.

Many radio stations worldwide have stopped playing his music, after the recent release of the scathing documentary "Leaving Neverland." But several fans at the exhibition said it was important to separate the artist from his work.

(SOUNDBITE) (German) VISITOR, MARIA LOUISE TABBI, SAYING: "The issue has always been there, it still haunts everyone.

But I personally can absolutely separate it and I know that this is not a tribute or a glorification.

I look at the whole thing without a negative aftertaste." "Michael Jackson: On The Wall" opened at an art museum in Bonn and includes approximately 100 artworks by 70 different artists, such as Andy Warhol.

Jackson's family has called the documentary and news coverage of the accusations a quote "public lynching" and says the musician was "100 percent innocent".
