Shares Rise For Fifth Day Amid Hopes For U.S.-China Trade Talks

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, global stocks climbed for a fifth session amid optimism over trade talks between the United States and China, and the potential for a softer British exit from the European Union.

On Tuesday, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said that China and the US expect to 'make more headway' in trade talks this week, while the Financial Times reported that the two super-powers were nearing a deal.

Robert Pavlik, chief investment strategist and senior portfolio manager at SlateStone Wealth LLC in New York, reportedly said, β€œThe trade talks supposedly getting closer to an agreement, are definitely giving a positive lift to Asian and U.S. markets."
