Assange Convicted Of Skipping Bail In London

According to Reuters, Julian Assange was convicted of skipping bail in 2012 by a London court.

The WikiLeaks founder was apprehended outside of the Ecuadorean embassy in London after his asylum request was revoked.

Assange had remained in the embassy for seven years.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges in London, and will be sentenced at a later date, when he will face up to 12 months in prison.

But his arrest has also set his extradition to the United States into motion on charges of hacking.
