Royal Commentator Says Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Are Not Joining Twitter Anytime Soon

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated Mother’s Day by posting a photo of the royal baby Archie’s feet that has garnered over 1.9 million likes on instagram.

Some are wondering if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will eventually join other social media sites, namely Twitter.

But one royal commentator says the couple will likely stay exclusively on Instagram.

On Twitter, Omid Scobie said there are no plans for the royal couple to branch out, and there's a good reason for that.

“With better cyberbullying measures in place, I can understand why they feel more protected being #OnlyOnInstragram — especially when baby photos are concerned.” The cyberbullying measures Scobie is referring to are the Royal Household’s social media guidelines released earlier this year, which state they may block users and delete comments that contain “obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, hateful” speech.” on any of its social media channels.

Harpersbazaar reports the guidelines were issued in response to online hate directed toward Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.
