Hong Kong streets flooded with protesters demanding extradition bill be scrapped

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, thousands of black-clad protestors blocked roads and surrounded police headquarters in Hong Kong, in the latest demonstrations over an extradition bill that has triggered a series of massive protests and plunged the city into chaos.

Groups of protestors wearing hard hats, goggles, and face masks set up roadblocks and trapped vehicles in a generally peaceful protest to demand that leader Carrie Lam crap the bill altogether.

Reuters reports that millions of people, fearing a further erosion of Hong Kong’s freedoms by China, have taken to the streets this month to rally against the bill, which would allow people to be extradited to the mainland to face trial in courts controlled by the Communist Party.
