A New York financier will languish inside a notorious jail while he awaits trial on sex trafficking charges.

A federal judge on Thursday denied Jeffrey Epstein's request for bail.

Epstein has been held inside the Manhattan Correctional Center since his arrest earlier this month.

His lawyers had asked the judge to release their client under house arrest at his Manhattan mansion until his trial begins.

Prosectors wanted Epstein held without bail, saying he has the wealth and international connections to potentially flee from justice.

From approximately 2002 to 2005, Epstein is accused of arranging for girls under the age of 18 to perform nude sex acts and massages and to recruit others to join in.

Our clients will cooperate in every way possible.

And we urge those who still may be wondering, should I come forward?

Should i be apart of this process?

Yes you should" Epstein has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

Prosecutors have said that a search of Epstein's Upper East Side home, valued at about $77 million, turned up hundreds of thousands of pictures of nude women, some of them minors, along with cash, diamonds and valuable art.

This will be Epstein second trial: he reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors in Florida over a decade ago to settle similar allegations.

Women who claim to be Epstein's victims have condemned that agreement as far too lenient.
