Teacher Finds 2.12-Carat Diamond While On Vacation

Josh Lanik was on vacation with his family when he found a brandy-colored gem at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.

The 36-year-old teacher from Hebron, Nebraska put the treasure in a bag with the other finds his family had made that day.

Lanik and his family spent two hours looking through the park's 37.5-acre diamond search area on July 24.

CNN reports that before leaving the park, they stopped by the Diamond Discovery Center to see what treasures they had found.
