Honduras Has Yet To Receive 'Safe Third Country' Proposal From The US

The Honduran foreign minister said they will analyze any U.S. plan to have them become a “safe third country.” According to Reuters, he said they have not received an official proposal to help contain migration north.

President Donald Trump has put pressure on Central America to stop migrants from reaching the U.S. border.

In July, Guatemala struck a deal with the U.S. that requires migrants to seek asylum there before the U.S. U.S.
