Jeremy Corbyn: Labour is ready for a general election

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn says his party is ready to contest a general election against Boris Johnson but wants to secure a extension to Article 50 before agreeing to terms to any election date.

Mr Corbyn was among a host of opposition leaders who refused to vote for a snap election in mid-October, hours before Parliament was prorogued for five weeks.
