New Orleans mayor calls fatal hotel collapse 'real tragedy'

The mayor of New Orleans on Saturday night told reporters the fatal collapse of a Hard Rock hotel under construction that killed at least two people was a "real tragedy" and that they were bringing in a crane to help stabilize the side and continue searching for victims. New Orleans Mayor Latoyal Cantrell told reporters the city was bringing in a crane to help stabilize the partially collapsed hotel.

The collapse on Saturday (October 12) killed at least two people and injured 18, filling a street with clouds of dust.

Three people are missing, and the two fatalities have not been identified.
