Apple's Releasing it's New AirPod Pro's, So how Do Competitors Stack Up?

Apple is releasing its new-and-improved AirPods, the AirPod pro, and it looks as though the competition on earbuds isn't a huge threat to Apple yet.

Apple's AirPod Pro's will debut later this week.

They're are so good, the tech behemoth will sell them at $249, $90 higher than the previous version.

The ear buds will be sweat resistant as well as noise canceling.

Meanwhile, Amazon and Microsoft also have there own earbud's out on the market, called echo buds and surface buds, respectively.

Apple shares rose 1% Monday to $249.05.

"It [the AirPod] blocks the outside noise and that's a feature of a lot of other premium wireless earphones that are out there," said Nelson Wang, TheStreet tech editor.

"And it's also going to have sweat resistance, and I think some enhanced water resistance and a better fit in the ear, so quite a few new features." TheStreet's tech reporter Annie Gaus said "This market is really growing as a whole, but Apple is currntly the undisputed leader.

They have about 50% market share in the space, so we'll find out in the coming quarters how compelling these competitors are, but Microsoft and Amazon also have a long way to go before catching up with Apple." Apple, Amazon and Microsoft is a holding in Jim Cramer's Action Alerts PLUS Charitable Trust Portfolio.
