Climate Scientists: We Only Have Ten Years To Save The World

Humanity needs to slash its greenhouse-gas emissions in half by 2030 to avoid catastrophic warming.

According to Business Insider, the world only has ten more years to avoid the worst consequences of climate change.

Scientists credit the increasing frequency of record-breaking temperatures, ice melt, and extreme weather shifts to carbon emissions.

If Earth warms more than 1.5 degrees, scientists think the world's ecosystems could start to collapse.

The melting of crucial ice sheets like the one in Greenland might lead toward them disappearing entirely.

That will hasten the already rapidly increasing flooding of communities on the US Gulf and East Coasts.

Longer, stronger hurricanes and droughts are also expected to wreak havoc on infrastructure and global food supply.
