Corbyn: US attack 'surely illegal'

Jeremy Corbyn has asked what evidence Boris Johnson has that the killing of General Qasem Soleimani "was not illegal act".

The prime minister responded that the "strict issue of legality" is "not for the UK to determine as it wasn't our operation" but added that "most reasonable people would accept the US has a right to protect its bases and personnel." Mr Corbyn wasn't letting the issue go, stating that "killing somebody in a foreign territory" is surely "illegal" and "should be condemned as such" by the UK government.
