Pro-European campaigners gather in Westminster as EU's Ursula von der Leyen warns over trade deal

Pro-European campaigners gathered in Westminster on Wednesday (January 8) as the European Commission chief visited London and questioned the UK government's timeframe over a trade deal.

The small group of campaigners gathered outside Europe House, the building of the Representation of the European Commission in the UK in Westminster.

The protest coincided with a visit to London by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who warned it would not be possible to agree every aspect of the future relationship between the EU and the UK before the current deadline of the end of December 2020.
