British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has praised the efforts of Northern Ireland's political parties in getting its government restarted and remains confident of a tariff-free trade deal with EU.
The prime minister said on Monday (January 13) that he was confident that he could secure a zero-tariff, zero-quota trade deal with the European Union, which would ensure no checks on goods being moved from Britain to Northern Ireland.
Johnson was speaking to journalists in Northern Ireland, as its Stormont devolved government reopens after an agreement between the country's political parties was reached.
