I know you guys will have a lot of questions about that.

But the truth is, I think when we finished the first run through, you know, Shakira looked at me, she was like, 'that was amazing,' and I was like, 'no, you were amazing.'

And I think it was very, she was like, 'it's different what we do.'

And I said, 'well, it's very Shakira and it's very Jennifer.'

And I think that's what you're gonna get from the performance.

It's a lot of energy.

It's very entertaining.

There's heartfelt moments.

I think we run the gamut.

I think it's packed with a lot of awesome moments.

I don't want to say too much 'cause I want everybody to be surprised, obviously, and I don't want to give away too much." [SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW PERFORMER AND SINGER, SHAKIRA, SAYING: "But it's true.

Your show and my show feel very different, but very complimentary.

They complement each other." 3.

I thought it was going to be charged up.) LOPEZ SAYING: "You know it's gonna be charged up.

Yes." STORY: The pair of multi-talented Latina pop stars performing in Sunday's (February 2) Super Bowl halftime show previewed their performance with a news conference in Miami on Thursday (January 30).

The performers, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, were largely tight-lipped about the show itself.

"I don't want to give away too many of what we're going to do in the performance," Lopez said.

But the duo were forthright about the significance of having two Latina women centre stage on Super Bowl Sunday.

"We'll be celebrating life and celebrating diversity in this country," Shakira said.

"It's a very important moment for for our community, for the Latino community in this country," Lopez agreed.

"The two teams that are playing, right, the Chiefs and the 49ers are run by women.

And then you got two women headlining the halftime show.

So it's just that statement alone for me is empowering," Lopez added.

Lopez, who is of Puerto Rican descent, began her career as a dancer and singer and is also a film and television actress and producer.

She was a judge on "American Idol", appeared on TV police drama "Shades of Blue", and is the producer of shows including "World of Dance".

Three-time Grammy winning Colombian pop superstar Shakira has been saying she wants to make her performance a celebration of Latino culture and her own birthday.

The National Football League's Super Bowl championship, to be played in Miami, is the biggest annual event on U.S. television.

The halftime show typically features some of the world's most well-known performers.

Last year's telecast attracted 98.2 million viewers.
