BoE's Carney urges flexibility as the UK leaves EU trading rules behind

Outgoing Bank of England Governor Mark Carney told Reuters "it would be strange" if Britain were to outsource rulemaking and supervision of "the world's leading international financial centre" to another jurisdiction.

He said the BoE was committed, in the case of financial services, to maintaining current standards.
