Surveillance photos released from Golden Triangle Dollar General robberies

Law enforcement on Monday released surveillance photos from the two Dollar General robberies that happened over the weekend in the Golden Triangle.

In two nights... in two counties... some folks are wondering about their safety.

Wtva's amanda haley is in west point and spoke with some customers about their concerns.

Right inside these doors is where one of the dollar general robberies happened.

This is the store in west point on highway 50...west point police are now searching for the two people involved.

Take pkg sot- "its a lot more dangerous" jonah claskey lives in the golden triangle and a is dollar general customer.

Clasky says he will now always try to be alert.

Sot- "i think people should be more aware of their surroundings when you go to places like this because anything can happen."

According to a facebook post, west point police are looking for these two men on your screen.

Officers say the man in black pants pointed a rifle at the cashier and demanded money.

The other man, according to police, forced another employee to the front of the store.

Officers with west point police say the robbery happened on saturday night around 9:50 and both men got away with money.

Clasky says, something has got to change.

"there needs to be more security."

Employees at this location did not want to speak about the robbery.

Tag- nearly 24 hours after the clay county robbery someone robbed another dollar general just 2o minutes away in lowndes county.

Police haven't made any arrests.

I spoke with lowndes county sheriffs office's, darrell nabor.

He told me that investigators don't if the two robberies are connected.
