Montgomery County health officer Travis Gayles briefed the media on three coronavirus cases in Maryland saying, "they are all under isolation, they are not being exposed to the community right now" but added that officials are investigating whether others are at risk of exposure.

The patients contracted the disease while traveling overseas and are in good condition, officials said.

In an answer to a reporter's question, Gayles told reporters on Friday (March 6), "these individuals were not on a cruise associated with Baltimore."
