(SOUNDBITE)(ENGLISH) DR ANTHONY FAUCI, SAYING: "The idea of anybody getting it easily, the way people in other countries are doing it, we're not set up for that.

On Friday, President Trump attacked the CDC and President Obama, tweeting that "For decades the @CDCgov looked at, and studied, its testing system, but did nothing about it," and said, "President Obama made changes that only complicated things further..." Trump promised that "testing will soon happen on a very large scale" but didn't provide details on how the U.S. would accomplish that.

Trump's tweets come a week after he said this: (SOUNDBITE)(ENGLISH) US PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP, SAYING: "Anybody that wants a test can get a test, that's the bottom line." U.S. officials and lawmakers are struggling to get a sense of how many people in the country have contracted the virus.

Dr. Fauci on Friday said he expects to see testing availability ramp up within a week.
