Attorney's office is investigating possible price gouging at a local business.

Action news now reporter vanessa romo spoke to the district attorney about the allegations and shows us the possible consequences.

Investigators tell me they were tipped off--- that then led to a search warrant in red bluff& and now possible consequences.

The d-a says they were increasing the price of m-3 and n-95 masks during the covid-19 outbreak.

We are in the process of looking for more evidence like price of the masks, how many were sold to whom and how long this has been going on and things like that& so there's still work to be done before we make a decision.

Investigators seized around 1- thousand masks on tuesday along with records.

Records that they say showed the masks were priced 400 percent above the nationwide average during a state of emergency.

We're on the lookout for this predatory behavior.

We want to try and keep the peace at this time and we want people to be able to get the essentials they need without paying exorbitant prices& court documents show the masks were priced at the nationwide average before the declaration.

Investigators say they don't see this much here.
