Matthew Reel may only be in seventh grade, but he has a huge heart way beyond his years.
The 13-year-old from Spring, Texas, started a non-profit called ‘Matthew’s Birthday Wish’ that normally feeds over 100 families in need within his school district on the weekends.
But when Matthew saw a greater need in his community amid the coronavirus outbreak, he asked his parents to help him set up a mobile donation trailer to collect food.
Matthew’s efforts to feed his classmates in need have even earned him a mayoral proclamation from the City of Houston and a day named in his honor.
