UK man hosts bingo night for isolated residents in Tyneside neighbourhood during coronavirus lockdown

Mark Henderson set up a bingo machine and speakers in his driveway in Wallsend, northeast England and invited every house on his street through Facebook.

The heartwarming video from Saturday (April 4) shows Mark set up in a large field with speakers, a carpet and a lamp just for fun.

Local resident and filmer, John Thompson, told Newsflare: "Mark posted a little card through the doors of older residents.

"At 4 p.m.

All the residents either sat at their windows or doors and played a few games of bingo.

We played for a line and then onto a full house.

We had 16 houses joining in and this ranged from the youngest player being 7-years-old to over 60-years-old.

"It was such a good laugh.

Any winners got their prize dropped at the end of their gate, keeping social distancing at all times." Jackpot prizes included self-isolation essentials such as pasta, toilet rolls, antibacterial spray, and even hand sanitizer, as well as wine and chocolates.
