Businesses keep on trucking.

Corona stinger without a permanent place to stay?

Our homeless community is particularly hard hit by this pandemic.

When they find shelter they are typically in large numbers and close proximity.

As kimt news 3's isabella basco reports a rochester man is lending a helping hand.

The landing mn inc.

Is a no?

Profit that helps the homeless in rochester.

And right now you are seeing their latest outreach effort.

They call it "moe" which stands for mobile outreach unit.

It's a truck that holds toiletries.... clothing and other supplies for those in need.

Nat: "you like those?"

"thank you."

"you betcha."

Lending a helping hand is the norm for dan fifield... a man who has made it his mission to help the homeless?

A group susceptible to the pandemic.

"we haven't had any cases at the shelter or at the warming center yet but people go in and out to doctors' appointments and stuff, you just never know if someone is going to get it."

Dianne dietrich has stayed at the warming shelter for a few weeks.

Isabella: "are you ever worried about your health or your safety or your future with this pandemic and how so?"

Dianne: "every day, where i'm going to go next, and is this going to affect me?"

Fifield believes if the pandemic continues... we could see more people on the streets.

"i don't know if we have a big influx today, but if this goes on longer, we'll start to see."

A worldwide pandemic is causing anxiety?

But we should still look out for each other.

"we need to care about each other, whether it's somebody who's living on the streets, whether it's your next door neighbor who is running out of food, we just need to care about each other."

Ever the optimist... fifield believes good will always prevail.

If you want to make donations to this truck... they are looking for items like blue jeans... tennis shoes and underwear.

In rochester isabella basco kimt news 3 thanks isabella.

That truck will move to different locations in rochester including the mayo civic center three days a week.
