Flower shops gear up for second biggest delivery day

Mother's Day is right around the corner and even with the pandemic, flower shops are feeling the pressure.

We checked in with Maggie and Moe's Poplar Flower Shop to see how they're gearing up for the big day.

Less than 20- thousand dollars.

We're just two days away from mother's day... and florists are working around the clock to make it special.

Each one of them hand picked..

And placed perfectly.

At maggie and moe's they're doing all of that..

But in orders of hundreds.

Valentine's day and mother's day are two of the busiest holidays.

Florists are challenged with orders, phone calls, deliveries, and little sleep.

I checked in with molly at maggie and moe's to see how the process has gone so far.

She says they've been getting ahead of the game for weeks now.

That's by maning the phones and ordering in bulk.

When i asked her..

She described this time as "hectic"..

But tells me it's worth the chaos... if it means bringing a smile to a mother's face during a tough time.

"i think it's going to bring people closer, let people know that their loved ones are thinking about them and we will get through this and see eachother soon."
