Family and Friends hold Birthday Parade for Man going through rare skin cancer treatments

A birthday car parade was held on Shull Street in Ilion Thursday for Ken Dack.

Dack is currently going through radiation treatments for a rare skin cancer called Merkel Cell Carcinoma.

To celebrate a birthday for a man turning 84.

Dack is an extremely active member in the community, volunteering at the stanley theatre.

Recently he was going to be installed as ny state sergeant of arms at the planned ny state convention this upcoming weekend, but that convention was cancelled due to covid-19.

Despite all the things that are going on at this time, ken was certainly surprised at what his family and friends has planned for him tonight.

Dack was pleasantly surprised, not knowing the parade was for him!
