President Donald Trump wants U.S. states to reopen places of worship that were closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Reuters, Trump said he would override governors who don’t do it.
The president said churches, synagogues and mosques provide essential services.
The White House coronavirus task force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx encouraged people to wait longer to attend services.
