The weather, the wind, anything like that.

The two were both wearing life jackets in their small 14 foot aluminum boat, and their belongings were found stretched over about a mile of the lake.

Sot: kirk tupaj police say finding mr. jennings boat may take days because there are several factors that affect the search.

Sot: matt savarie, new york state forest ranger there's boulders and stumps and logs everywhere out there, so a boat on our electronics looks very similar to some of those things sometimes.

Yesterday they had an example of that where they had a big log that was about 14 feet long that they marked.

It looked like a boat, and they dove on that and it was just a log.

The lewis county sheriff's department dive team, the new york state forest rangers, and the town of webb police are all actively searching for jennings boat, hoping it may provide some answers to what went wrong.
