Local father catches numerous people running stop signs on security cameras

One man has home video of people speeding through stop signs..
He says he's had enough of people not paying attention to traffic signs in his neighbrhood.
Tonight we head out to that intersection.
That's where news 10's richard solomon is with more from a concerned father.

But garold pennel says hes caught tons of people on camera flying by..not even stopping.
And this concerned father fears the worst.

Pennel lives right on the corner of north 10th and 4th avenue in terre haute.
His kids -- along with others in the neighborhood -- ride bikes and scooters near the intersection.
Pennel says -- with them being out there -- his fears worsen.
"people don't stop.
When you see a kid run out in front of you, your car aint going to stop on a dime it takes time.
Time a child aint got if it gets caught under a car."
I reached out to the mayors office about pennel's concerns.
They say... when they get calls about people not stopping at signs... they reach out to the terre haute police department.
They told me patrols are sent to that area.
Pennel says he's done that but it hasn't worked.
"this is the one that i see on a daily basis on an hourly basis on every 15 minute basis.
The kids safety is the biggest thing here for me myself and my neighbors.
" but he says he isn't asking for much.
"people, stop.
There's too many kids and kids lives are important man."
Pennel says this is a law that should not only be enforced here but everywhere.
He says you never know who could be watching.
