On today's "On the Beat", Troy Thompson discusses with Kenny Frye of Homes by Frye the new phase of his housing development.

Troy thompson: welcome to on the beat everyone, i'm troy thompson.

Joining me today is the legend behind the brand.

Mr. kenny frye.

How are you my friend?

Kenny frye: fine troy, how you doing today?

Troy thompson: i'm fantastic.

Of course when we say the brand, we say homes by frye.

You're a bit of a living legend in your hometown, right?

Kenny frye: well, we started a community to try to do a great job and we can get a lot of good feedback from it.

So yes, we appreciate that.

Troy thompson: you are doing so well.

And i just want to remind everyone what homes by frye is and where the development is to begin with.

Even though we're up to stage two, i'd like to recap a little bit.

So just inform everyone at home, watching for the first time who you are and what you're all about when it comes to your development.

Kenny frye: i'm kenny frye from homes by frye and we're on our phase two which is called frye circle, and we've got four new home started and we actually have two of those sold and two are not, but we also have two more that's pre sold, it's not even built on that street yet.

So about as fast as we get them done, they get purchased.

We're just in a good location and we've just been doing a quality job for the community and caledonia seems to really love what we've done out here.

And it's just been really great, man.

Troy thompson: well, that's fantastic.

I'm going to let you toot your own horn here for a moment.

What are the buyers saying that they love about the area?

Because as you said, no sooner do you put one on the market then it's snapped up?

Kenny frye: well, it's in the country.

It's not far from the columbus air force base.

We've got people moving from columbus out here.

We got military people moving out here.

When we sell a home to somebody they'll go online and they will just blow up facebook.

And they just absolutely love their home.

They comment on us, but if somebody has any issue, we go immediately and go and fix it.

It's not like a day or two later.

If they call and they're at home and they want us to come by, we're definitely going to their house and fixing the issue they've got.

And we've not had anything other than just a few small things.

Troy thompson: so with stage two development underway, you've already sold several homes.

What type of homes are you selling in stage two development?

Kenny frye: our houses are ranging from a three bed, two and a half bath that's in the $280,000 range.

And then we've got some homes that are a 2000 square foot home.

And then we've got some 2175 square feet houses in the $302,000 range.

And then it just goes up to, we've got several homes that we've sold that's in the $330,000, $360,000 and $390,000 range.

We also have a five bed, three bath.

So just whatever you want, we have a variety.

Troy thompson: now, do people have the option to choose some of the fixtures and fittings and the colors and decor?

Kenny frye: sure.

If they can get in on the front end early enough, we will let them pick out brick or that kind of stuff.

We do all the fascia work and their gutters and downspouts.

On the inside, we'll let them pick out, we've got different flooring.

We've got different cabinets.

We've got different colored granite countertops.

We put granite all the way through the house.

Bathrooms, kitchens too.

Used farm sinks.

And we've got self closing doors and drawers and that kind of stuff.

But we've got some nice stuff that they feel like they're part of the deal if they catch us early enough.

Troy thompson: of course, everyone can go online to your website, kenny and see virtual tours and all the images and floor plans and things like that, right?

Kenny frye: yeah.

They can actually go homes- by-frye.

We've got a good website there that we've got virtual tours, pictures, some details about homes by frye.

And also you can go on zillow.

We are on zillow.

Troy thompson: well, very quickly, selling the sunset, that's your dream.

And that's what you're doing.

Kenny frye: i thank you for that.
