Florida couple James and Kimberly Snead are living personifications of the adage 'no good deed goes unpunished.'
The Sneads were the last foster parents of Nikolas Cruz.
Cruz carried out a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in 2018.
As part of a legal agreement to settle numerous civil lawsuits, the Sneads were required to write a letter of apology to the victims and their families.
According to Newser, they said they should have believed what they were told.
