"* three at six./// governor tim walz says this fall's 10th annual minnesota governor's pheasant opener is being postponed until next year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Walz says the opener is now scheduled for october 8th and 9th, of 20?

The event wil still be held in fairmont, which was scheduled to be this year's site.

Kimt new three is getting an up close and personal look at olmsted county's only testing site at graham park.

"* this morning we had the opportunity to follow volunteers from mayo clinic, olmsted county medical center and public health during the drive thru testing process here at graham park..

To give those who haven't gone through this process an overview ?

"* there are three stations at this testing site..

The first provides information about the test to patients..

The second ensures the person getting tested is the correct patient and then the third is where the magic happens ?

"* that's where patients get swabbed.

Operations chief for covid?

"*19 response daniel jensen says since becoming the only testing location in olmsted coutny the department has been working on its quote "through?

"*put" to decrease we were pulling people from the emergency operations center from the county to be able to back staff up.

We brought in swab nurses and we trained them just in time.

"*put time down to abot an hour and 20 minutes but none of us thought that was acceptable.

Olmsted county says for the summer months air conditiong units were brought in to keep people cool while being tested..

Now they're considering how to keep patients warm during the winter ones.

Olmsted county says on it's busiest day it saw more than 800 patients at the graham park location.

Cancer patients and their families need your help during the pandemic now more than ever.

The relay for life of freeborn county is just 4 days away.

Kellie peterson is an oncology nurse and got involved in relay for life because of her nursing background and losing family members to cancer.

She and others are raising money for the american cancer society.

The money goes toward supporting cancer patients and their caregivers.

"* people will drive through edgewater park in albert lea to view luminaries and honor people who have been the biggest thing i like about it is the education they offer for patients as far as brochures and pamphlets and that to help the patient and their caregivers and families when they're going through it and secondly the housing part of it and thirdly the research there's still time to purchase a t?

As you can see safety measures are in place with the social distancing signs, plexi glass, and people wearing masks.

Here's how it works... rather than sealing the absentee ballot into an envelope to be processed later... in?

"*person voters will insert their ballots directly into the tabulator.

Those votes aren't totaled until 8 o'clock on election night.

The goal of this option is to provide convenience and reduce the number of people at the polls on election day.xxx we always vote.

It's our obligation, we live here, we pay taxes, so we vote.

The more people who vote ahead of time, that's the less people who have to go to polling sites on election.

And again it may help us disperse any potential crowds.

And again, the whole idea is to reduce the risk of covid 19.

Direct balloting goes until monday... the day before the primary election on tuesday, august 11th.
