Today, vanessa how did she do.

It took her a couple of days to complete the virtual run... but she did it and couldnt be happier.

Chelsea agost got started in roller derby with the nor cal roller girls 9 years ago--- nats it didn't take her long to earn the name vicious v& v, i initially wanted it to stand for something else but im not going to say, the v was short so its where i started and kept since 2011& just last week, vicious v skated the bay in a 155 mile virtual marathon --- nats right here in chico& it was hard to do, but it was a goal to look forward to because during quarantine, we didn't have a lot to do, so chipping away at that goal felt really good.

The course took her nearly three months to complete& nats& coming just a year after she shattered her leg & i thought i was never going to skate again, because when you get hurt, there's fear because it was a really hard thing to go through so coming back from that and doing this was a huge thing for me& vicious v has some vicious scarring as well as a titanium rod in her leg from the injury.

But she says, that wasn't the hardest part of the marathon& when the fires happened& it was like some kind of trauma response.

Smelling smoke.

Ash falling& v and her entire family lost their home to the camp fire and just moved back to magalia& that was really hard to on an emotional level to push through it and even want to come back outside when you're dealing with that so& yeahhh i lived through the camp fire& and survived this marathon& right alongside her husband.

She's my superhero and im her biggest fan.

She' s awesome and i try to be as supportive as i can practice with her& skate with her& in chico vanessa romo action news now coverage you can count on.
