A woman is struggling with her boyfriend’s parents’ unannounced visits.After moving in with him recently, his parents started to show up at their home without much notice.The issue is she hasn’t even met them yet.
The girlfriend went on Reddit’s “Relationship Advice” forum for help.“At 10 a.m.
My boyfriend (BF) came into the bedroom and woke me up to tell me his parents would be dropping by in 20 minutes!
I was pretty annoyed… Apparently, they arrived when I was in the shower,” she wrote.Then her boyfriend accused her of being rude.“My BF... thought it was a bit rude of me to not say hi to his parents even though a) I had no idea they were visiting b) I was in the shower, attempting to get ready to be presentable ... c) I was not even asked,” she continued.“I’m worried he’s setting a precedent that I am not able to be comfortable in my own home and should expect visitors at any time of day,” she said.Reddit had mixed views on the subject.“His parent’s behavior is outright aggressively unempathetic and controlling,” one user wrote.“Calling the parent’s behavior aggressively unempathetic and controlling at this stage is way too much.
