Police investigating the attempted robbery of three 16-year-old girls in Looe have issued an appeal for witnesses and information.

The teenagers were targeted at around 6.45pm on Monday 17 February as they were at the junction of Lower Street and Church Street.

A male suspect approached the victims from an alleyway, pulled a broken bottle from his jacket and demanded money and cannabis.

He was challenged by a member of the public and fled the scene in the direction of the Quay Car Park.

Nothing was stolen and nobody was harmed during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male aged in his late teens, around 5ft 8in tall, of slight build, with dark hair which was short on the sides but longer on top and combed backwards.

He was wearing a dark-coloured windcheater jacket, dark-coloured jeans, and trainers.
