Fed's Powell says U.S. recession risk not elevated

According to Reuters, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said on Tuesday that The risk of a U.S. recession is not currently elevated.

Powell met with students at Mississippi Valley State University, and during a Q&A session was quoted as saying, โ€œWe donโ€™t feel that the probability of recession is at all elevated.โ€ Concerns that another U.S. recession is approaching continues to rise amid concerns over political economic crisisโ€™ in Europe with Brexit, and Chinaโ€™s slowing economy.
