‘The Simpsons’ Pull 1991 Michael Jackson Episode

SF Gate reports that a 1991 episode of “The Simpsons" featuring a character voiced by Michael Jackson will be permanently shelved in response to the HBO documentary “Leaving Neverland.” Executive Producer James L.

Brooks said; "It feels clearly the only choice to make".

The four-hour documentary chronicles the experiences of two men, who say Michael Jackson sexually abused them when they were young boys.

The pop singer's estate has called the documentary “the kind of tabloid character assassination Michael Jackson endured in life, and now in death".

Fox Television, which distributes “The Simpsons,” has not made a statement concerning the decision.
