Outrage Over Squalid Child Detention Conditions Triggers Resignation Of US CBP Acting Commissioner

Acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection John Sanders is resigning and will leave his post on July 5th.

Sanders has led the agency since April, when President Donald Trump reshuffled the management of U.S. immigration agencies under the Department of Homeland Security.

According to Reuters, the move coincides with an outcry over the treatment of detained migrant children.
