Boris Johnson wins Conservative Party leadership election

Boris Johnson has been elected as new leader of the Conservative Party with 92,153 votes to Jeremy Huntโ€™s 46,656.

The result was announced at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster.

The former foreign secretary and Mayor of London will be confirmed as prime minister on Wednesday.
