Why Investors Should Prepare for Earnings Season Now

Another earnings season is just around the corner.

Let's take a look at whether or not this earnings season is different.

Jeff Marks, senior portfolio analyst with Jim Cramer's Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust, and Chris Versace, Real Money contributor, sat down with TheStreet's Katherine Ross to break down what investors should expect from this upcoming earnings season.

Versace turned his attention to what the future holds in his Real Money column Tuesday, Sept.

"With less than two weeks to go until we close the books on the September quarter and with Wall Street back in saddle as the summer season has wound down, let's take a look at how earnings expectation for the second half of 2019 stack up.

We'll also take a first look at 2020 as we are very near the time of year when the market begins to shift time frames and starts to focus on the New Year," wrote Versace.
