Tiny Star’s Enormous ‘Super Flare’ Has Scientists Stunned

A star about 8% of our sun’s mass unleashed over 10 times more energy than our sun's most intense flares, and scientists aren't sure how it's possible.

“We just don’t know, nobody knows,” says Beate Stelzer, a researcher on the study.
